To support the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to achieve national vaccination targets in a safe, accessible and equitable manner with a focus on the following intermediate results (IR);

 Geographic areas: Western region (Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis and Ahanta West Municipality)

Intermediate Results:

  • IR1. Support Ghana Health Service’s COVID-19 Vaccination program to rapidly accelerate widespread and equitable access to and delivery of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible populations per national standards.
  • IR2. Offer targeted assistance to the Ghana Health Service to overcome barriers for populations, who are less likely to become fully vaccinated due to social determinants of vaccine acceptance.

  • IR3. Assist local implementation of standardized domestic monitoring, evaluation and reporting efforts, regarding the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccination program in Ghana.
