Advocacy Support to reduce the Shortage of HIV Commodities in the Region.

Monitoring of ART sites /service persons, Media engagement and Dissemination of Monitoring Findings GHS ART Officers

The goal of the project is to build a strong network for civil service organizations and key stakeholders to advocate for the availability, accessibility and affordability of ARVs and HIV commodities in the region.


  Geographic areas: Western region (STMA, WASSA DISTRICT ETC)


Key objectives of the Project were:

  • To call on the Government, Ghana Health Services, Ghana AIDS Commission and National AIDS Control Programme to guarantee uninterrupted access to lifelong treatment to end the AIDS epidemic by the year 2030.

  • To collate ideas on the improvement and advancement of the availability and accessibility of HIV commodities in the region.
  • To address issues and roles and make recommendations to fine-tune major agencies playing a major role in achieving the 90-90-90 target.


In addition, the CSO Advocacy group led by Life Relief Foundation with grant support from US Ambassador’s Self Help Project has undertaken several activities, which include capacity building and monitoring visits, in collaboration with key stakeholders to HIV/AIDS service delivery sites in the Western Region.


This is to ascertain the availability and accessibility of HIV commodities for People living with HIV (PLHIV) in the region
